Michael James Deady, 70, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, peacefully at home with his devoted daughter, Stephanie, by his side.

Michael had been battling aggressive gallbladder cancer for almost 2 years, after conquering many other health challenges over the years. One thing about him is that he always persevered, and never gave up. In the end, it was all about the quality of life for him.

While Michael faced the challenging, relentless battle against gallbladder cancer, his daughter Stephanie assumed the role of caregiver, providing unwavering support, and tending to his physical and emotional needs with compassion and strength. Stephanie navigated the complexities of medical treatments, offering comfort during difficult times and ensuring her father's well-being remained a top priority. Her commitment to his care was a testament to the deep bond between them. Stephanie’s love and devotion provided a source of solace, creating a compassionate and supportive environment for her father as he entered his final stages of life.

A dedicated employee of the State of Rhode Island for 32 years, Michael contributed his hard work as a warehouse worker before retiring in 2016. Post-retirement, he embraced the simple joys of life, indulging in long bus rides to Newport, Cape Cod, and various other places to enjoy the nice view along the way. He always lived in the moment and was unburdened by the cares of the world.

Anyone who knew him knows the extensive love for wrestling he had. From getting the boys together for WrestleMania to the wrestling matches he and his daughter, Stephanie, enjoyed attending together as she grew up. He collected every action figure and ring that was created.

As he aged, he enjoyed spending time catching up on all different types of shows and would obsess over each one until he finished all the episodes.
He also enjoyed spending his time gossiping about the drama of the world with his best friend, Johnny, and just relaxing at home with his dog, Charlie, who adored him.

Michael leaves behind his daughter, Stephanie Deady, of Johnston, RI, his sister, Natalie Deady McCartin, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and his many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Michael is predeceased by his former spouse, Stephanie’s mom, Rhonda LoBuono who passed in 2021.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 16th, 2023 from 2-5 pm at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave Lincoln RI. Burial will be private.
